Maddie has been working in ABA since 2017 and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) currently serving the New Orleans Metro area. Since becoming a BCBA in 2022, she has provided services across home, school, clinic, and community settings in Florida (Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties) and now in Louisiana (Jefferson and Orleans Parishes). Maddie supports clients ages 2–22 with regulation, communication, and executive functioning needs, partnering closely with caregivers.

She values interdisciplinary collaboration, working alongside speech and occupational therapists to support AAC use, gestalt language processing, and independent living skills. With some exposure and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Maddie is continuing to expand her practice within this framework.

“My goal with every client and family is to provide them with the compassion, care, and understanding that is not so easily given in a very busy, and sometimes cruel, world. I aim to help my clients and caregivers build tools on the tool belt of their lives, that they can carry with them, pull them out as needed, and maybe some days even set aside. My aim is not to change my clients, but rather give them the skills to see and advocate to others that their uniqueness is a strength, not a weakness.”

admin@prismbehavioralnola.com

I feel intensely. I smell mold and bad food before others. I hear fluorescent lights. Clothing hurts, noises invade, colors take my breath away. My daily reality is governed by too much sensation and not enough sensation. Patterns are soothing because they create order in what feels like chaos. Sometimes I shut down and I lose language. Other times I get overloaded and act it out in ways that get me in trouble. My world is intense, rich, real, sometimes painful and definitely different.
